Massage for the Elderly& Physically Impaired

Elderly people frequently suffer from sore joints and muscles and massage can help ease away these problems. A hand or foot massage can be very soothing and is completely non-intrusive. Scalp massage is also lovely to receive, easing away headaches and tension, as are facials and face massage.

People with physical disabilities, those who are wheelchair bound or confined to bed, can also benefit enormously from massage. Gentle manipulation of the limbs and neck can help to aid mobility. It can increase circulation, nourish withered muscles, and stimulate the lymphatic and nervous system. Massage also exfoliates the skin of dead cells and increases new cell growth. Constant regular massage can make a remarkable difference, helping people to overcome the effects of stress and tension. People recovering from operations or waiting for operations, people with Parkinson's Disease, crash victims, people who suffer from ME, MS, epileptics (with due care, working on the floor) can all benefit.
